The yoga wall is designed to allow traction, support, and a different experience with respect to gravity. It is useful to aid in balance work for those who need it and to allow conditioned bodies to work at getting to the top of their game. The support of the wall allows feedback so that poses away from the wall are more finely tuned. Mona traveled to California in Summer 2004 to attain a certification for proper use of the yoga wall.
