Pilates Ring Practice

About This Class

Now's the time to make your vision for a home gym a reality. A pilates ring is a sneaky way to target tiny muscles that don't normally get attention, provide resistance, improve balance, incorporate core, sculpts and tone the entire body, and more. In this practice, we will use a Pilates ring to get a full-body workout. Join us for this fun, accessible workout!

This Pilates class is filled with yoga-inspired Pilates exercises, targeting core engagement with each exercise and through transitions too. Connecting to one’s core enhances a felt sense of strength and is empowering. Building core strength helps to release tension in muscles and fascia due to compensatory habits, weaknesses and imbalances, altogether improving mobility, agility balance, power, reaction time, and proprioception. We will access fun creative uses of the pilates ring which builds on classic Pilates mat exercises. foam roller for core strengthening, using yoga pose preparations.   We will follow with a unique deep restorative, connecting to breath.

What to Know:

All students need a yoga mat, a Pilates ring, yoga strap or belt, and a blanket. 

This class is held virtually via Zoom and at Greensboro Performing Arts.
